After phase-match filtering to the vertical Rayleigh waves received by China Digital Earthquake Network with high density station coverage was used, the spectral amplitude ratios of a large amount of station pairs were obtained to perform attenuation tomography. The tomography image shows that there is remarkable attenuation heterogeneity in China mainland, indicating the large difference of attenuation structures between the eastern and western of China mainland. The eastern part of China mainland is an obvious low attenuation area, which is corresponding to the stable blocks in this area. On the contrary, the western part of China mainland shows a strong attenuation feature especially in the Tibet Plateau.
