Question
How long after an earthquake do I have to wait for data to arrive?
Answer
This depends on the source of the data. (IRIS archives and distributes data collected by many different groups, so there are a number of paths the data may take to get into the archive.)
Some data (for instance, data from the USArray Transportable Array (TA)) usually arrive at the DMC in near real-time, within seconds or minutes.
Other sources of data may take hours or even days.
