Data Processing and Analysis Short Course

August 15th to 19th, 2011

We are seeking applications from advanced graduate students, postdocs, and other early-career seismologists interested in attending a short course on the subject of processing and analyzing seismic data from the EarthScope USArray facilities. The short course will be held August 15-19, 2011, at the campus of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. The primary goal of this short course is to provide training to a new generation of young scientists in the foundations of robust methods in seismic data processing. Our aim is to inspire the participants to become future leaders in developing more effective ways to handle data from large seismic arrays, such as USArray.

Short course application form. Applications must be submitted by June 20, 2011.

Classroom

Participants will be selected by the short course steering committee. The short course is targeted at graduate students through early career scientists.

Travel and subsistence costs for participants in the short course will be covered by financial support from the EarthScope Program.
