A three-dimensional high-resolution seismic study of the summit caldera of Newberry Volcano, Oregon, was conducted by the USGS during the summer of 1984. The experiment was designed to image seismic P-velocity anomalies in three dimensions throughout the upper 4 to 6 km of crust beneath the summit caldera.
