We use existing and newly acquired seismic survey data to compare a cost-effective, non-invasive, seismic exploration method, based on seismic interferometry to the EGS favorability estimated from a comprehensive geoscience study in Dixie Valley, Nevada. A new seismic exploration method with significant potential for fault definition and P and S- velocity model estimation is currently developed in a conventional geothermal exploration setting at Soda Lake, NV. This method will be applied to EGS favorability analysis and will be compared to favorability metrics from other geophysical measurements.
