In April, 1991, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in collaboration with the Department of Energy (DOE) and Savannah River Site (SRS), conducted a seismic refraction/wide angle reflection experiment in the Atlantic Coastal Plain region of South Carolina.

NSF Geodetic Facility for the Advancement of Geoscience (GAGE)
and NSF Seismological Facility for the Advancement of Geoscience (SAGE).
