Rapid Response to Geohazards Mini-Workshop
Hilton Portland Downtown, Portland, OR Tuesday, October 8th, 2019, 1–5pm

IRIS will be hosting a mini-workshop to discuss a dedicated instrumentation pool for rapid response to geohazards.  Funded as a frontier activity under the recent NSF SAGE award, the rapid response to geohazards initiative aims to: 1. gather community input on instrumentation needs, and 2. procure a dedicated pool of instrumentation based on those needs.

In preparation for this mini-workshop IRIS will be hosting a series of webinars on a variety of geohazards topics throughout the summer and fall of 2019.  We see the mini-workshop as an opportunity to synthesize and distill the information presented during the webinars, and to get a broad sense of the science objectives the community would like to investigate with a rapid response pool.

If you would like to participate in this mini-workshop, please complete the online registration form.  We have travel funds available to support attendees (where necessary).
