The 2017 EarthScope National Meeting will be held at the Dena’ina Convention Center, Anchorage, Alaska, from May 16-18, 2017. Conference highlights include the opportunity to showcase research in oral and poster sessions, hear firsthand results of pioneering EarthScope studies and a synthesis of findings to date, and the option to participate in a post-meeting field trip led by local EarthScope scientists. Early career scientists are strongly encouraged to attend (partial support will be available for a number of students and postdocs). There will be a variety of pre-meeting workshops and short-courses, which will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017. Please see the Agenda tab for more details.
The 2017 EarthScope National Meeting will open with an EarthScope Synthesis session that is intended to span and synthesize a broad range of EarthScope science. This will be followed by a range of mostly process-oriented sessions that will be a mix of talks and posters.

If you're driving to the hotel from ANC: Head West on W International Airport Road for approx. 3 mi., take the Minnesota Drive N exit ramp to Downtown Anchorage, continue on Minnesota Drive/Walter J. Hickel Parkway, heading North, to W 6th Avenue, make a right on W 6th Avenue for, Sheraton hotel will be on the left. The airport is approximately 7.3 miles from the Sheraton and should take between 12-20 minutes to drive time.
PARKING:
Self-Parking ($15/night) is available at the Sheraton. See the front desk for overnight parking permits.
Day Guests (attending meetings, events or restaurant dining in JADE Restaurant, Steak & Seafood): Guests are still able to park at the Sheraton, just see the front desk to purchase a permit for the day.
Street Parking: Diamond Parking is also quite prevalent around downtown Anchorage within various lots, as is EasyPark Alaska, and several garages. Fees can range anywhere between $1.00-$1.50/hour.
