IRIS Data Services will be conducting a short course on Monday morning December 10, 2018 at AGU. It will run from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Renaissance Washington DC Downtown Hotel near the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Morning coffee and mid-morning snack will be provided but please plan on having breakfast before attending the short course.

The discussion will be informal but we will demonstrate and discuss a variety of topics including:

  • Seamless access to repositories at the DMC
  • Federated access to globally distributed data centers
  • DMC Federation of ph5 and seed archives
  • International Federation of Data Centers
  • ROVER - hardening data delivery by the internet
  • MUSTANG - quality assurance of IRIS data

For those who cannot attend in person a GoToMeeting webinar as been arranged.  GoToMeeting link and call in information


The maximum number of participants is capped at 25 and applications will be accepted on a first come basis. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own computers in order to do exercises. To get the most out of the experience computers should be able to connect to the Internet (through the provided Wi-Fi).
