IRIS is funded by the National Science Foundation under the NSF SAGE award to establish a new pool of portable magnetotelluric (MT) instruments at the PASSCAL Instrument Center — which maintains equipment, provides training, and assists in data handling and archival at no cost to Principal Investigators. We will have both new long-period and wideband/broadband MT instruments available to potential users in early 2021.

This webinar is part of a series designed to highlight the science applications of MT. Previous webinars are available to view here: Introduction to MTMagnetotelluric Science VignettesMT Observations in the Cascades Arc. We plan additional webinars this year, and inquiries about the PASSCAL MT program may be sent to andy.frassetto@earthscope.org.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. The live broadcast is limited to the first 300 attendees. All IRIS webinars are archived for later viewing on the IRIS YouTube page (Webinars playlist)
