This week is Part 1 of 2: Reading Seismograms. In this at-home investigation, students will explore what a seismometer is, what information it records, and how it works by building their own seismometer! Everyone should be able to participate in this open-inquiry project, as the “parts" will be the sorts of items one might find in their recycling bins or around the house. Videos, linked from the worksheet should help your students as they progress!
