Nearly 150 photos taken during the IRIS Workshop held June 9-11, in Snowbird, Utah, are now posted in the IRIS Image Gallery. The photos capture all major activities, from the plenary and poster sessions to the field trips to the anniversary dinner celebrating 25 years of IRIS. We hope you will take a few minutes to peruse the 2010 Workshop photo album!

With more than 230 participants, including many students, post-docs, and early career faculty members, this year's exciting Workshop focused on cutting-edge investigations that could potentially have significant impact on our understanding of Earth. Many of the presentations were related to the recent publication, "Seismological Grand Challenges in Understanding Earth's Dynamic Systems" and were organized into sessions on Exploration & Near-Surface Seismology, the Science of Fault Slip and Earthquake Rupture, Mantle Dynamics, and the Science and Policy of Deadly Earthquakes. The Workshop also featured poster sessions and special interest group meetings that provided opportunities for participants to discuss specific geophysical research topics in greater detail. Abstracts and presentations from the Workshop will be posted soon.
