With more than 230 participants, including many students, post-docs, and early career faculty members, this year's exciting Workshop focused on cutting-edge investigations that could potentially have significant impact on our understanding of Earth. Many of the presentations were related to the recent publication, "Seismological Grand Challenges in Understanding Earth's Dynamic Systems" and were organized into sessions on Exploration & Near-Surface Seismology, the Science of Fault Slip and Earthquake Rupture, Mantle Dynamics, and the Science and Policy of Deadly Earthquakes. The Workshop also featured poster sessions and special interest group meetings that provided opportunities for participants to discuss specific geophysical research topics in greater detail. Abstracts and presentations from the Workshop will be posted soon.
